On October 19th, Dr. Sitter (Multisensory Studio Director) was one of three early-career University of Calgary Professors recognized for their outstanding research and leadership. Each year, three Killam Emerging Research Leader Awards are given to early-career scholars (within ten years post-PhD) whose research relates to the individual mandates of Canada's three research councils. Dr. Sitter received the award for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), through which she holds the position of Canada Research Chair in Multisensory Storytelling in Research and Knowledge Translation.
